Christy McKenzie and Jodi Carey Ocean of Heart retreat 2018

Internationally recognized yoga teachers and soul sisters, Christy McKenzie, Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, and Jodi Carey, Flow Intuit Teacher, will lead an extraordinary 5-night retreat at Amansala resort on the beautiful shores of Tulum, Mexico. They will lovingly offer teachings, gained from years of studies and earnest exploration, to help us dive fully into the rich sea of awareness, wisdom, joy, wellness and elegance, that lies like hidden treasure in the depths of the heart. Morning ocean-front meditation sessions, two yoga practices daily, adventurous outings along the Mayan Riviera and sweet relaxation in the spa or on silky white sands by turquoise waters, will offer perfect circumstances for fully immersing ourselves in the ocean of our hearts.

While all rooms at Amansala are lovely, on the sand, open to the ocean breezes and not more than 80 feet from the ocean, not all rooms are beach front or ocean view. The filling of those rooms is on a first come/first served basis, so participants are strongly encouraged to book as soon as possible in order to have the possibility of reserving the most desirable room. This is the 7th year this retreat takes place and rooms fill fast because it is a very popular event with internationally sought after teachers.

Payment can be made with all major credit cards. Once you book your room (link above in room prices area), you will be contacted by the retreat coordinator within 72 hours. She will provide you with any additional information you may need and help to ensure that all details are finalized in your reservation, such as flight details and pre-booked spa services. If you are planning to share a room with a specific roommate, please help us by entering their name in the area provided on the reservation page and encouraging them to make their reservation request on the same day as you.

She is the point person for this retreat and will coordinate all room assignments. She will also do her best to place you with a roommate if you are traveling solo and wish to share a room. She will interface with Amansala resort on your behalf to help accommodate all needs to the best of her ability.

If you would like to arrive a day early or stay a day later we do have rooms available. You will need to register for those rooms using a separate link which will be sent once you have reserved your room.

Full payment of the retreat price is required to finalize your reservation and participation in the retreat. If it is necessary for you to pay in installments, please let the retreat coordinator know (tulumretreatbliss@gmail.com). Please be advised arranging a personalized installment plan will add time to the reservation process and may affect the rooms that are available.

Transfer transportation from the airport can be arranged for your convenience (strongly recommended). Transportation is based on how many people are in the vehicle, and must be arranged prior to your arrival. Departure transportation for returning to the airport at the end of the retreat will be provided once you are in Amansala. Please note the prices below only cover one way. If you do not have your flight details at the time of reserving, you will receive an email from the retreat coordinator to follow up with you and finalize your transfer. Since price depends on the amount of passengers, it is recommended that you try to arrive within a few hours of the start time of the retreat since that will likely be when most participants arrive.

Cancellations with more than 2 weeks notice will be charged a $500 processing fee. Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice are 100% non refundable. Participants are responsible to be adequately insured, therefore Traveler’s Insurance is strongly recommended*. Christy McKenzie, Amansala Resort and its staff assume no responsibility nor liability for any delay, loss, damage, injury or accident with regards to persons or property which may be caused by fault or negligence of any third party vendor. This includes hotels, transportation providers, and local operators participating in part for our services. Christy McKenzie and Amansala Resort shall be held harmless for any expense caused by injury or accident, to any participants as well as any loss or damage of personal items while on the extra tours offered. We reserve the right to make any changes to services and itineraries, which may become necessary (though this is highly unlikely). Christy Nones McKenzie or Amansala Resort are not to be held responsible for changes in itinerary beyond our control, this includes bad weather. There are no refunds due to flight cancellations, strikes, labor disputes, weather, lockouts, threats or acts of terrorism, acts or declared war.
